What aftermarket products for WW1 Braille Scale Models do you want the
most? As we know, the 1/35-ers are literally swimming in it: PE sets, conversion parts,
tracks, metal barrels, decals etc. But us 1/72-ers shouldn't complain: things are really looking up for our scale in this aspect
too, a scale which I think has a potential mass appeal that the more and more expensive 1/35 scale should really start worrying
about.
But WW1 is in many respects a subject somewhat in the shadow, compared to WW2. We have some
producers, more specifically Matador Models (Bless them!), that have produced aftermarket items for WW1
AFV:s, but hope more will to be tempted.
And the BIG market for 1/72 WW1 Aircraft kits have
showed, that the Great War is by far a "Dead" subject. And it is gathering
momentum - eventually it will reach that tipping point, that WW1 Aero Modelling
reached some ten years ago: and the Aero guys have since really proved the
commercial hobby worth of WW1.
