One
of the special vehicles, designed to be a part of the transport of the
famous Skoda 30.5cm Mörser M.11,
was an ammunition trailer. It was indeed an important part of that
weapon system, as it ferried the heavy shells that the gun needed. It
was towed by the same
vehicles as towed the other vehicles in a 30.5cm M.11 battery.
Once again Michel Gores had turned his attention to a very exotic
subject, as this kit shows. It comes packed in a zip-lock bag, with a
yellow card header, showing the trailer. Again there is no plan, as
often in MGM kits. In this case the problem is not too big, as this is
a simple kit, and you soon figure out where the different parts go.
Take care with the rear axle, though, to ensure that the four wheels
come out level with each other. Also: as i understand it, there are
TWO brake assemblies enclosed, but you wuill only need one. It's
probably there as a spare, in case you break it - it is very fragile.

As far as I can see the accuracy is
high. The parts themselves (moulded in semi-hard yellow resin) are
pretty typical MGM: perhaps not super finish and detailing, and some
moulding flash. (The wheels are very nice, BTW.) The moulding plugs
are pretty hefty. But still: it is a fine little kit, giving you a
simple project that you can build in one evening. And who else than
MGM would give us a WW1 Austro-Hungarian ammo trailer! A photo of a
completed model can be seen below:

kits of MGM can can be bought through
