Little History's 1/72 Dead French Soldiers

  On the kit

Little History is a new Company, run by Matthias Wahl. He builds big, impressive dioramas in 1/72, using many figures that he has made himself. And some of these figures he also sells to others, which is a good thing, as when it comes to poses and/or equipment they can be used to supplement existing figures sets sold by the big companies. This small set is one of these.

The set quite simply consists of four figures, depicting fallen French soldiers, in late war garb, including Adrian helmets. The figures, in white metal, are all moulded in one piece, except one, where you have to mould on the arms yourself.

The sculpting and detail is fine, and the animation very good. They really look like men, crumpled together in death.

You can buy this set directly from Little History.

  Verdict

It is nice to see a new company moving into the field of WW1. And this is a fine little set, looking the part and showing real promise. Wonder what Matthias Wahl will do next?
