The EMHAR
1/72 Whippet is an excellent kit, its only deficencies being
some small detail problems. For those
eager to have a quick fix for these small problems, Matador has made a special
detail set in resin. It consists of the two stowage boxes - include some cargo
-, new exhausts, a towing ring plus four new mudguard supports - the kits
supports are way too thick. The moulding is excellent (Matadors resin moulding
is just getting better and better) with only tiny amounts of flash. It also
comes with a fine
set of plans. Nothing in the set is so advanced that you can't do it
yourself, really, but it's still a very useful set for anyone who hasn't the
level of knowledge regarding the Whippet as a do-it-yourself requires. The only
thing to deplore, is that they didn't put new Hotchkiss MG's in this set, as the
kits MG's are too crude - a fault with all EMHAR 1/72 AFV kits, actually.

Its very pleasing to see Matador Models
back on the Great War track. They have very good know-how in this sector, have done many interesting WW1 kits, extras and
conversion kits, and now we will hopefully see even more!
