We all know that the tracks are often the most difficult part on WW1 Tank
kits. Especially the Airfix Mk I/II contains a track in the form of a thick
and rather stiff rubber band, that is hard to glue on, and that is bound to
look a tad unrealistic. (The EMHAR Mk IV track is better, but still a bit
thick.) I myself does not like the trend towards individual track link that
now can be seen in small scale AFV: they are fiddly, hard and time-consuming
to fit. BUT I can still recommend the set of track links made by Matador, to
use both on the Airfix and the EMHAR kits. They are made of resin, well
detailed and with just the right thickness and outine. Most of
it comes in the form of long lengths of links, with just enough individual links to go around
the "corners". And the kit contains enough links for you to fail
with a few... If you are really serious about your Airfix Mk I-II or your EMHAR
Mk IV, well then this is the set to get.
