Interior Details

Here have I gathered some drawings and photos of interiors of WW1 AFV:s and armament used in those vehicles, that perhaps can be of use for anyone trying to model these things. This is just a simple compilation. But maybe something here will help someone in a modelling fix... But the place to visit if you are really into AFV interiors is of course the AFV Interiors Web Mag. This far two WW1 tanks can be found there: the S:t Chamond and the Mk VIII. Check it out! Excellent photos of the interior of a FT-17 preserved in Belgium (taken by Jack Mueller) can be found here. Another tip: anyone contemplating doing a A7V with full interior should get A.) Hundlebys book of course, and/or B.) Ospreys Modelling manuals No. 4 "Advanced Military Vehicle Modelling", as it contains an excellent article on doing this in 1:35 scale. A detailed articel on modelling the interior of an A7V can be found here. (Anyone interested in the interiors of the Mk V, Mk VIII, Mk A and Mk B should also try to get hold of the french publication Le Génie Civil, no 1948, December 1919 - some if it's plans are reproduced below. And anyone interested in the interiors of the Mk I, the Whippet and the A7V, should check out the Tanks site, where you can find excellent exploded views of these tanks - on the Great Britain Medium Tanks and Heavy Tanks sections; the A7V is on the WW1 section.)
